MY Favorite London RTW designers pop through NYC for 2 days!!!

  What a fantastic week !!! The British Fashion Council gathered up some of the best new generation British and London based RTW designers and did a cozy presentation in a penthouse loft at the Soho Grand Hotel. 

   Sadly I missed a few of my favorite shows during London Fashion week due to a styling job that cut my trip short.  When I found out Louise Gray and Meadham Kirchoff were part of this 2 day event, I was so relieved as they were 2 of the shows I was sad to miss and it gave me a relaxed one on one with them and their collections.

My favorite Autumn/Winter boutique window ! Girlie, sophisticated and installation art it's finest. Sadly I didn't see the dolls in the boutique.

New Perfume..New Addiction!! Odin #1 Nomad

 

   It's been a while since i found a secret new scent!!  I was noticing some gorgeous Black/Brown perfume bottles in the Odin Soho menswear boutique..the packaging , yes in a shallow way caught my eye, then i thought sometimes men's fragrances are nice on women :)...of course the perfumes are uni sex and sold in  their women's wear boutique,Barney's New york perfume Dept, Colette in Paris and on the the Odin boutique website www.odinedt.com

   My new favorite scent is their #1, entitled NOMAD!!!!!

 i love sexy musk and sandalwood which are the low notes, mixed with the Juniper berries,Himalayan cedar leaves.  I'm getting compliments and it adds alot of weight in my bag but it's worth it. 

Dark street style trends in New York

I have an addiction to darker layers with a slight grunge edge. Perhaps i cant stop listening to Joy Division, The Cure, Nirvana so my camera lens follows my ears ? :). It's nice to see grunge and dark chic trends prevailing on the streets of New York before winter comes on and limits the best on their street style.
I love Freja's excellent grunge style and adore Kelly Osborne for looking lady like.

The Eclipse Film Co-Star: Bryce Dallas Howard: favorite A/W 10 fashion look !!

  One of the greatest pleasures of my work is styling talented actresses/actors for fashion magazines such as Nylon.  We get to experiment with designers that rule the couture world such as Chanel mixed with denim brands like Diesel.  Bryce Dallas Howard is one of the the most authentic and kind actresses i've ever styled. She is a dedicated actress, mother, wife,producer and writer; and an enthusiastic follower of fashion trends/designers.  I'm looking forward to seeing her upcoming films and i now have a different perspective on her role in The Eclipse film (she's the new Victoria character).

  Here are the 2 looks that were edited to appear in the October 2010 issue of Nylon magazine, which we had fun putting together!! She loved the crazy layering and especially loved the furry Chanel ankle boots and the layers of cuffs and bangles i mxed together from different jewelry designers.
