J Crew A/W 11 presentation 3-29-11 : NY

  Yesturday was a perfect day to fit in Fashion Press Presentations, the sun was out and the New York Fashion industry is in a perfect moment to host all of their private presentation in relaxing environments.

  I couldn't  miss the J Crew presentation as this brand keeps evolving faster than one can check their online store. I'm always impressed by their merchandising as it creates an addiction to layering and mixing colors, patterns and textures.  Even though I may be a die hard fan of alternative RTW designers, everyday understated pieces from J Crew I mix with my RTW give my overall look a softer more comfortable edge.

  J Crew A/W 11: love the use of violet, bright red and tangerine both in clothing and the awesome handbags. Favorite Silhouettes: menswear for women and the long flowing Aline skirts..add to the must buy asap list.

Calvin Klein: Chic and Affordable A/W 11 collection: NY Press day 3-29-11

  Couldn't miss the presentation this morning to view the diffusion collection for Calvin Klein. Their presentations always have every detail covered, the denim, the suits, knitwear, lingerie, accessories, samples to try on, exquisite freshly squeezed OJ to sip and a PR team as seamless as the presentation. 

    Few thoughts came to mind when viewing: the silhouettes were presented on the same level as their Ads ..Chic, excellent casting, hair and make up etc..I felt like I was in a live ad for their collection that is available/ priced for Bloomingdales, Macys etc at a guilt free price point.

  I love the men's/Women's tux suits as they could work day or night, and some of the ankle booties are on the must own list!!

Paris: the new handbag designer to watch out for: Karmachova

  Quick visits to my favorite showrooms in London I found some secret new treasures!  We all love to collect shoulder bags, so it's exciting to find a shoulder bag that you know will be coveted by everyone who will actually find it to purchase :)

  Paris based jewelry and handbag designer has hardly been discovered by any US retailers.  Her jewelry has been presented at the Moto 777 in Paris and she used to work and be part of "Rue de Nail" by Martine Sitbone.  Not to mention she is an award winning graduate of Studio Bercot in Paris.  Her black leather bags are understated with a directional functional edge in shape with a touch of rock n roll detail.  Here are my favorite styles:

London Street Style moments: colourful details

  Back from the LA shoot and ready to share more of my London street,style and designer moments.

  I have a soft spot for those who are amazing at mixing colours and patterns fearlessly.  It inspires my styling and is a reminder that it's not always the label you buy or the price you pay but how creative you are at co-ordinating your own individual look by mixing colour and texture.
