Hurricane Sandy: support the All star Red Cross/ NBC Fundraiser tonight

 

   I wanted to take a moment to pause and jump out of fashion, blogging , reviewing etc to share the quick efforts that some awesome artists have come together to raise funds to help those who were effected much more than myself and my colleagues in Manhattan. I can live without power and water and find temporary shelter, but to many can't. More lives are being lost due to the aftermath and lack of help etc.

  There are currently more than 100,000 people in NJ, Long Island, Staten Island without a home, food, water, car, access to health care etc. FEMA has their condtional support, in the mean time people are literally stranded without any help.  Many of us merely lost our power and water in  lower Manhattan , so I can hardly complain and or remain non supportive. I the relief efforts are both slow and hindered due to lack of fuel and staff.

   I would love for all of you who have a moment to support those in need to watch & dontate to the NBC/Red Cross fund raiser via your laptop if you cannot tune in from your country and or location.  

  Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera are a few of the artists that will be live tonight seeking supprt. Tonight's host; Matt Lauer has raised $50 million for Red Cross funds for Katrina.
