Marc by Marc Jacobs's new Creative Directing team: Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier launch the new AW14 collection ad campaign with an unusual casting approach; they initiated a Twitter and Instagram based submission idea to find new faces via #CastMeMarc in April. From the 70,000 International submissions, to the 30 finalists who were flown into NYC from various parts fo the world ; Australia, Russia and South Korea ; 9 were confirmed to be photographed by David Sims.
"David Sims portraits, Peter Miles layouts, the credibility of the cast and the approach to casting the ads transmit a current social lifestyle that doesn’t play into other clichés.…And totally feels like our company — a cast of colourful and dynamic characters," Jacobs said.
