CHANEL x Pharrell Williams

           Karl Lagerfeld directs a short film premiering Dec 1-2014 starring Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevinge. 

  The short film will follow the life of the legendary designer, who meets a young lift-boy (played by Pharrell), while in the suburbs of Salzburg in 1954 for the holiday season. Pharrell will enact a 'Prince like" moment with Cara as a ' fashion forward Cinderella'.

   The 41 year music producer has had a successful year with his music hit "Happy" as well as a long list of fashion collaborations. In fact Pharrell wrote the lyrics to the background track in the film teaser  “CC The World".  He will also appear as the face of the upcoming aris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d'art collection campaign, along with Cara Delevinge.

  Supporting cast: Karl’s 6-year-old god son Hudson Kroenig (who recently posed it up with model  will star in the film as well, alongside Geraldine Chaplin (above) as Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel. 

Karl Lagerfeld's film inspiration; 

It was time to show the origins of the Chanel jacket, inspired by the one worn by the lift attendant in a hotel near Salzburg in the 1950s. Reincarnation is the story of a lift attendant’s jacket being reincarnated as a timeless piece of women’s wear."

‘Reincarnation’ is the title of the video-clip created and directed by Karl Lagerfeld to accompany the Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d'art collection to be shown on December 2nd 2014 in Salzburg.
