Givenchy Fall 2015 RTW

 Tisci's Givenchy Fall 2015 RTW collection; first impression? An aggressive Chola girl in Victorian inspired silhouettes.  Subversively romantic? Or a does a latino subculture become another trend to be romanticized by one of the greatest fashion designers and interpreted and worn by those who may reject the actual source of inspiration?  As your typical chola woman is in fact dangerous and would not romanticize her image. Fashion is often a a juxtaposition of what we will never be and most often afraid to be. Hence Tisci's references of this collection will be embraced by both the fashion savvy and the naive label collector.

Brocade, Velvet, lace and be jeweled faux peircings stomped past the spectators of fashion. Pat McGrath's make up extended to the face jewelry and the hair styled in an exaggerated Chola girl meets Frida Kahlo. Small waists in dark intense were the strongest silhouettes and added the sexy, femme edge the collection needed.
