Marc Jacobs Spring 2014 x Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus featured in the new Marc Jacobs Spring 2014 ad campaign? Yes Marc has a creative crush on this southern girl gone wild. Having worked with her I'm happy she has evolved to this level now rather than later as the semi stripper look she often wears is getting her bad fashion sense reviews.

   The campaign was photographed by David Sims not by Jurgen Teller, who is known for his longtime collaboration with Marc Jacobs. Apparently Jurgen had to draw a line and not committ to what he felt wasn't his casting wish list. Can we blame him? Or should he have let the creative directors work their magic on Miley to ensure her twerking would become a thing of the past? TBC, follow all that is Miley to see if she evolves to the same fashion savvy level as Sky Ferriera; who is by the way touring with Miley as her opening artist.

Pre fall 2014  Trending:  Oversized silhouettes sculpted in leather and high tech fabrics are a growing trend with NYC, Paris and London RTW designers, is this what we can predict to see more dramatic versions of this for the A/W14 shows? I predict the oversized overcoat is here to stay for another season or two as well as re worked "wet suit" inspired fabrics.
